Jon Samolis Recognized by PBN’s 40 Under Forty
Bridge Technical Talent’s VMS Manager Ranks in Providence Business News’ 2013 List
of Young RI Professionals Committed to Making a Difference
East Greenwich, RI, June 26, 2013 – Bridge is thrilled to announce that its VMS Manager, Jon Samolis, has made Providence Business News’ 40 Under Forty list this year.
The Bridge Team knew it was only a matter of time before Jon made the list. He is skilled, ambitious, and rises to every challenge he meets at Bridge. Bridge is proud that Jon is being recognized by PBN for his dedication to Bridge clients and candidates as well as for his commitment to its employees, the Bridge business, and the local community.
Jon came on board with Bridge in 2008 in a junior recruiting role after earning his B.A. in Business Management from Mercyhurst College, a Master’s Degree in Human Resources and Labor Relations from the University of Rhode Island, and a Juris Doctorate from Roger Williams School of Law.
Jon has grown with Bridge over the last 5 years as the company has experienced rapid growth and expansion. When Bridge opened its stand-alone VMS office in Warwick, RI in 2011, Bridge leadership knew that they had the right man for the job.
Bridge has entrusted Jon with the oversight of its VMS accounts and recruiting force, including many junior employees. Jon played an integral role in launching the Bridge Recruiting Internship program, through which he helps train and mentor college interns and positions them for full-time permanent roles with Bridge upon graduation. Jon is developing the talent of Bridge’s next generation, professionals whom Bridge hopes will grow with the company as Jon has, excelling at the same high rate. As Jon states in his 40 Under Forty PBN profile, “Focus on being excellent in what you do, and success will follow.”
Jon has also taken on a leadership role at Bridge when it comes to community initiatives. He regularly attends IT events and user group meetings to support IT professionals in the area, and he has been present at every Bridge e-Waste Drive since the tradition began in May 2009.
The men and women who ranked in 2013’s 40 Under Forty class were selected from nearly 100 applicants. The winners were selected based on career success and community involvement. The winners will be recognized at a ceremony on July 25 at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport and will be profiled in a special PBN publication released with the July 29 issue.
