Did you know that this week is Explore Your Career Options Week? Whether you are a student or aspiring to further your career in IT, you may want to dedicate this week to pondering where you want life to take you. If you would like to kick start the process, now is the time to so do!

Let’s take a look at four possible career options for IT professionals…

#1: Project Manager. As a Project Manager, you would be juggling a number of projects at once. This means that there is a need for you to not only be passionate about your work, but organized. The Project Manager will act as a team leader, managing day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.

#2: Software Developer. As a Software Developer, you will not only create software systems and applications, but test and evaluate your work. In this role, a company may depend on you for business development, meaning you will need to make good technical decisions. If you thrive under this type of pressure, this profession may be for you.

#3: Game Developer. Looking to take your software development skills to a whole new (fun) level?  As a Game Developer, you must have a strong set of skills, including: programming, video graphics, computer animation, and much more. It may seem like a lot of work and training, but the end result is worth it.

#4: Web Designer. As a Web Designer, you will be expected to intertwine your technical and artistic skills. It requires both creativity and attention to detail. You may find yourself doing everything from creating web pages and graphic designs to testing and troubleshooting.
