To celebrate this holiday season, Bridge Technical Talent decided to come together and donate to Toys for Tots. Traditionally, Bridge participates in a company Yankee Swap as part of holiday festivities around the office. This year, instead of gifting to each other, employees at Bridge wanted to give back to the community. Bridge donated gifts to Toys for Tots in hopes of bringing joy and cheer to less fortunate children.
The Toys for Tots program started over 70 years ago with 5,000 toys distributed in its first year. Today, the program provides an average of 18 million toys to millions of less fortunate children in America. A small donation from an individual goes a long way.

“Each year, as a company, we come together to celebrate the holiday season and the year to come,” said Stacey Elliot, Office Manager at Bridge Technical Talent. “We try to change things up each year. This year we decided that while the Yankee Swap brings each of us joy with unique and fun gifts, we wanted to give back to someone who needs it. Toys for Tots came to mind immediately, as it is a well-known, available program in many communities. Every child deserves something special this time of the year. We were excited to contribute any way we could.”
This year Bridge collected over 15 toys for less fortunate children. In addition to the toys collected by staff, Bridge’s Partners, Joe Devine and James Wright, matched the contributions with two bikes to donate to Toys for Tots. Michael Engels, Technical Recruiter at Bridge, mentions, “We are thrilled to be a small part of this program that continues to make a huge impact on less fortunate children this holiday season. Knowing the joy and hope it will bring to children makes this holiday season even brighter.”
