Promoting the Advancement of IT Education & Careers in RI
For years, Bridge has worked to make IT career resources available to current computing students,
hosting IT professional speakers on campus and sharing our expertise on career skills like resume
writing, interviewing, and salary negotiation.
Bridge has embarked on a mission, along with a coalition of Rhode Island's higher education
computing department heads, professors and deans, to:
–raise awareness about the rewards of technology degree
programs and careers in the state of Rhode Island, and
–integrate computing components into RI's middle and
high school core curriculums.
Bridge has also recently partnered with The Academy for Career Exploration (ACE) on a “Pro Bono” basis in hopes of referring a successful computer programmer to be the teacher for their Web Programming and Development Pathway. Click here to learn more.
We want to see the IT industry thrive, right here in Rhode Island.
We want RI students to graduate with an education that does not limit
their potential career paths but provides them with endless career options.
We want RI students to pursue careers that are not only lucrative
but also challenging, engaging, compelling and fun.
That's why we devote our resources to this cause.
That's why we support computing education in Rhode Island.
